Q - I Want to know what are the criteria for describing an item as "USED 100% WARRANTY" A - All the spare parts we are offering for sale, here or at ebay, are guaranteed to be exactly as described, this means that if we describe an item as being "USED TESTED 100% WARRANTY" the item is guaranteed to be 100% working and within specifications, however if this item is a spare PCB the adjustment parameters will have to be realigned when replaced. We use the following Descriptions
"NEW or NEW OLD STOCK"
Parts new in their original manufacturer packing, may be new current line items, or new old stock OR Parts new but taken out from their original packing OR Parts new taken out from cosmetically damaged consumer equipment, in this case the part for example, the INVERTER PCB from a NEW LCD TV set with a broken SCREEN, the BOARD IS NEW but will be removed from the BROKEN TV SET, SO IT MAY HAVE INSTALLATION SIGNS OR FINGERPRINTS, OR A HIGH VOLTAGE TRANSFORMER REMOVED FROM A TV SET WITH A BROKEN CABINET, THE TRANSFORMER IS NEW, BUT IT WILL HAVE SIGNS OF BEING SOLDERED
In every listing we always state besides " NEW " the individual part condition IF THERE IS SOMETHING THAT HAS TO BE MENTIONED
"SERVICE STOCK"
New parts we obtained for use in our service facility, have been tested in equipment, but due to wrong diagnosis the problem was elsewhere, these parts may have signs of being tested like solder or fingerprints, BUT ARE NEW AND HAVE A FULL 7 DAY WARRANTY
"USED EX-EQUIPMENT"
1. Suppose the item described is an expensive PCB used in a TV, THE PCB WILL BE INSTALLED IN A TV SET using this same PCB, the TV will be extensively tested for correct functionality, and THEN the PCB will be wrapped in antistatic packing, and labeled.
This item is Guaranteed to be 100% working when shipped
2. If there is a cosmetically damaged piece of equipment, we will make all the necessary repairs to have it completely working and performing as per manufacturers specs, and then it will be stripped down to parts, everything that comes out from it is packed in antistatic bags, and labeled,

This procedure is followed for the following, 1 - PCBs for test equipment or Consumer Audio Video equipment 2 - CRTs for Oscilloscopes TDRs or Rear projection TVs 3 - Expensive ICs mainly for use in test gear or high end equipment 4 - Mechanical assemblies like a complete Cassette recorder mechanism, or a thermal printer for a TDR 5 - Electronic Components like special potentiometers - switches used in test equipment 6 - Lens assemblies for Camera or CamcorderS
"USED WARRANTY"
Suppose the item described is a power supply PCB used in an oscilloscope, we have the oscilloscope partially working, that is operating but another irrelevant to power supply section has a non repairable fault due to parts mot being available, this power supply is known working, but we cannot be 100% positive, of course we will accept this board back for a full refund if it fails to meet specifications

Well this description says it all, this part was taken out from equipment we could not test, it is priced accordingly, and offered for sale AS - IS, we do not give any warranties, and we will not accept it back, if it is not working

Q - I have decided to buy a Tektronix plug-in from you, what sort of guarantee you are giving..??, and what about calibration..??, are your instruments calibrated..?? A - All the instruments we are offering for sale, here or at ebay, are guaranteed against being DOA (Dead on arrival). All instruments are checked thoroughly by our service department, all functions are verified, and if anything is missing, broken, or has signs of being overheated, is replaced, what you get is a complete and 100% functioning instrument, However we are not a calibration laboratory, and we cannot issue official calibration certificates.
Q - I have decided to buy a spare part I need from Qservice, what sort of guarantee you are giving..??, Are your parts new..??, or used..?? A - Qservice is NOT a bulk spare parts reseller, we are pure technical people, and would like to serve our customers the way we would like to be treated as customers,
the majority of spare parts you will see within our site or eBay, are parts that were obtained originally for our service facility, As you may or may not know, in order to efficiently run an advanced electronics service facility, a lot of spare parts and service manuals are required to be immediately available, this is a very serious business drawback, as with time this stock may grow to very high levels, AND with rapidly changing technology, these parts are becoming obsolete very soon, and loose a big percentage of their original value, a lot of the parts offered here are considered to be obsolete by now, or the equipment they were originally designed for is already obsolete, these parts are usually offered at a fraction of their original price cost, you may for example see a NOS camcorder PCB assembly that originally cost several hundred dollars, offered for sale at 10% or even less the original price, this unfortunately is the way things work out in the modern electronics servicing industry. However since the spirit behind our mission is to supply spare parts and repair / restoration help for obsolete equipment, you will also find a lot of used known to be good, or used ex equipment - tested spares, as well as some selected, known to have a high fault rate, repair parts for current Sony consumer electronics equipment. There are no cheap alternative supplier parts here, all parts are genuine replacements as these were / are supplied by the original manufacturer of the specific product, only the original part can be trusted to function correctly, this is more critical with semiconductors, as usually manufacturers like tektronix, Sony, HP-Agilent, and many other high end brands, use standard components specifically selected for their equipment, so a 2N3055 transistor may cost 10 times as much when supplied by tektronix, but it is not a standard of the shelf 3055, it is a selected device, with very tight specifications. the spare parts we are offering here or at ebay, are 1 - BRAND NEW CURRENT LINE PARTS 2 - NOS - BRAND NEW OLD STOCK PARTS SEALED IN THEIR ORIGINAL PACKAGING 3 - NOS - BRAND NEW OLD STOCK PARTS 3 - USED PARTS TAKEN OUT FROM COSMETICALLY DAMAGED EQUIPMENT, OR FACTORY SURPLUS BOARDS All our parts are guaranteed against damage during transport, New current line parts are all sealed in their original factory package, and are guaranteed for any transport damage, however we cannot accept them back, once they have been used, New OLD stock NOS parts, are also guaranteed to the extend described above. Used parts are sold on the basis they are individually described, so if a used part is described as 100% functioning, then it is guaranteed, if it is described as sold AS-IS, or as parts unit " like a PCB that we cannot verify its condition ", then is sold in AS-IS condition, no guarantees - no returns
One note here specifically about semiconductors. NEW or NOS Semiconductors for Sony equipment are usually sealed in antistatic bags, there are NO returns accepted for semiconductors, once opened, OR SOLDERED. Used semiconductors if / when offered for sale ( usually very hard to find obsolete devices ) are also guaranteed to be 100% working. These semiconductors are ALWAYS offered with a unique individual description, may also have a warranty sticker ( expensive Tektronix hybrid Ics ) and usually the production date code is also mentioned, all used ICs are removed from known tested working equipment, in the most unlike event any part develops a problem within a 7 day period from receiving , will be accepted back for replacement , provided the warranty sticker is intact, and the production date code matches .
